It was great to hear and meet Kent Blazy tonight at Bluebird! He took questions from the audience and explained how he got his start in the music business. Kent has written several big hits including “If Tomorrow Never Comes” for Garth Brooks, “Gettin’ You Home” for Chris Young, and the most recent “My Best Days Are Ahead Of Me” for American Idol contestant, Danny Gokey. He also co-wrote “It All Comes Back To Me” which is on my current album. The best part, is he is a fellow Kentuckian as well, hailing from Lexington! I was able to talk to Kent and give him a copy of my CD. I hope he likes what he hears and that we can maintain a music relationship through the years…

I’m so excited to get the chance to open for Justin Moore this Thursday July 30th at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, KY. This is really a dream come! I can’t believe it. We came so close to being able to open for Little Big Town in March with all of the votes sent in by you - the fans - on Eventful.com. Now, just a few months later we DO get to open for a major act, thanks to the wonderful folks at 95.1 WGGC for contacting me about the event. They will be hosting “95 Live” there in the Park at the Reagan Amphitheater. Admission into the Park is $10, unless you go to WGGC’s website (www.wggc.com) and download a “Goober Member” card, then you get in for $5. There are 3 acts total, all acoustic I’m told. We perform at 6PM Central, and Justin Moore closes out the show at 7PM. I’m so excited, I cannot even wait. It’s so neat to be driving down the road and here “Smalltown USA” on the radio, and think, “I get to open for that guy.” This is not the only time we will be hooking up with Justin, either. We will also be with him at the Kentucky Apple Festival Sat. Oct. 3rd in Paintsville, KY. We play earlier in the day at 4:30PM Eastern, while he is set to hit the stage at 8PM later that night. Again very exciting! Thanks so much for your continued support. I really appreciate it! Keep telling everyone you know about the new CD ‘Thank God For You And Me’ and requesting the music at your local radio station. Thanks a bunch! See ya on the road….

I am proud to announce that after 8 months of hard work in and out of the studio, the new CD release date is near! We have an approximate release date of May 19th. We will let you know if it is somehow sooner than that. Check back on the home page for updated info. We will be setting up an online store that will allow you to purchase the CD online. I had planned on having advanced copies in time for the Irvington Railroad Festival on May 16th. But unfortunately, we may miss that date by 3 days. You can see a picture of the cover on the home page of the website. Again check back soon for more details….
